2011 – Narrandera Shire Council – Rural Lands Strategy

 As part of the development of the Narrandera Shire Council Rural Lands Strategy, Booth Associates have been engaged to conduct a series of workshops with landholders spread across the Narrandera Shire Council and relevant government agencies.  These workshops will be used to determine the needs and views of the rural community with regard to land use and the planning scheme.
  
2011 – Strengthening Riverina Irrigation Communities – Economic Development Workshops
As part of the Strengthening Basin Communities Project, Booth Associates assisted in the planning and facilitation of workshops held in the Carrathool, Murrumbidgee, Narrandera, Griffith and Leeton Shires.  These workshops included Council, community and business representatives and focussed on a 2040 vision for each the Shire identifying the attributes and opportunities for each region.  The information from these workshops is currently being used to develop economic development plans for each Shire.
  
2010 – Cluster Group 1 – Strengthening Basin Communities Project
Booth Associates in conjunction with David W Hicks & Associates facilitated a series of workshops for the Albury City, Corowa, Greater Hume and Urana Shires as part of the Strengthening Basin Communities Project.  These workshops were held across the region and each workshop was focussed towards specific groups, including sport and recreation, industry, agriculture, tourism and environment.  The workshops focussed on the lessons learnt during the prolonged drought and how such lessons may be utilised to help plan for a future with less water.  The workshops were also used to inform the recommendations that came out of Stage 2 of the Strengthening Basin Communities Project which identified 10 projects that are currently being addressed to help the region to cope with the challenges of a future with less water.
  
2009 – Hay Shire Council – LEP Review
As part of the preparation of the strategy for the revised Local Environment Plan for the Hay Shire Council, Booth Associates conducted a range of targeted workshops with industry and community to help identify the needs and wants to be addressed in the strategy.  To support this process and Values and Visioning Workshops with the community was also held.  The information from these workshops was utilised to inform the development of the strategy.
  
2008 – Young Shire Council – Rural Lands Strategy
As part of the preparation of the Young Rural Lands Strategy, Booth Associates conducted a series of workshops with various agricultural groups in the Young Shire Council.  The Young Shire is typified by a diverse range of agricultural production ranging from broadacre cropping and livestock grazing through to intensive horticulture and viticulture.  A series of workshops was conducted with each group to identify the current attributes of the various agricultural systems, and ensure that the Rural Lands Strategy was fully informed.
